Sturn Weaver was happy to be home Monday evening fondling his new iPhone after he launched "the iLick heard around the world" this past weekend at the Fashion Valley, Apple Store in San Diego, Calif. A judge ordered Weaver to spend ten days in jail or fork over $652 dollars to purchase the iPhone he chose to lick as a practical joke. "He didn't just lick the box" said store manager Rob De Marino, "he slobbered all over it like a St. Bernard, it was gross!" Several customers witnessed Weaver french kissing the iPhone box but considered it to be typical Apple fan behavior.
Employees refused to handle the box after the incident, making the unit unsellable. Apple Store security immediately detained Weaver until San Diego Police arrived. Weaver stated that he never intended to purchase an iPhone before the infamous licking episode. "I've licked plenty of cool gadget boxes before, no one ever freaked out like they did." Weaver said. Weaver expressed no remorse for his childish behavior, joking that he would return to an undisclosed Apple Store location in October to lick the new Leopard OSX box when it's released.

FINALLY, they start fining people for being stupid. I hope this sets a precedent.
