Is Steve Jobs Hiding An iPad Book Reader?

[that smile is hiding something big]
According to John Markoff from the the New York Times, signs of an iPad book reader point to yes. He's convinced that Steve Jobs has left a trail of clues pointing to the continuation of the multitouch Safari iPad that morphed into the iPhone. In his post "Reading Steve Jobs", Markoff weaves an intriguing tale strung together with several pieces of various Apple statements that may add up to a Wi-Fi connected device that could be scaled in size to become a new digital media reader. An innovative touch sensitive one, focused on portability and user experience aimed at besting Amazon's Kindle eBook.
"At Macworld, when I asked Mr. Jobs about the idea of an iPod Touch in a larger “Safari Pad” format, he snapped at me," said Markhoff, "I can’t talk about unannounced products,” answered Jobs. Source" New York Times
I'm convinced that a digital media reader (iTablet) combined with an internet gaming device may be Apples next big thing launched off of the iPod touch platform, but with even more features. Remember, it's a platform not a product. A platform to be supported in part by iBooks and iGames downloaded from the iTunes music store. Sound familiar? Expect a summer blockbuster surprise from Jobs at the WWDC on June 9th. With Apple's stockpile of more than $18 billion in cash, anything is possible. An iPad book reader is one idea worth kindling.

I see what you did there... Lol, nice. Amazon would really hate it if Apple released something like this.
