"I Am Rich" App Revived As iPhone Wallpaper

The Cult of Mac is reporting some extremely bad news, the (it does nothing) "I Am Rich" application listed for a minor $999.99 dollar fee, is no longer available from the iPhone AppStore. Apple has decided to yank the app due to outcry from VentureBeat and other bloggers who showed up with pitch forks and shovels to beat the app to death in the street. One doofus bought it from the app store, running around screaming, "I'm Rich Biotch!".

A tipster Sean, emailed us a photo of an "I Am Rich" wallpaper he downloaded from Flickr. The Flickr photostream implies it's intended to be a proper homage to genius author Armin HeinrichIt, mourning the world's loss of his "I Am Rich" application. The wallpaper replica is titled "I'm Rich Bitch!"

The "I'm Rich Bitch!" wallpaper is not an authentic iPhone app, it just sits there and does nothing, all strangely similar to the original bogus application, except this symbol of personal wealth is free. There are two sizes of Apple rich wallpaper to be had.
