Is Apple's 'Brick' Really A Sub-Notebook Planned for October 14th Event?

Apple_subnotebook_concept

According to 9 to 5 Mac there will be a "one more thing" moment taking place at the Apple's October 14th MacBook refresh unveiling. The mystery product  is rumored to be code-named "Brick".  Speculation and wishful thinking is pinning hopes on the "Brick" being the fabled Tablet Mac. Some have speculated on the previous speculation that a tablet is most likely to be unveiled by Apple in January.

"We here at TG Daily believe that if that is in fact the case, Macworld in January may be a more appropriate event to unveil a tablet. Another rumor has it that Apple may introduce a brand-new sub-notebook to compete with Asustek's EeePC." from TG Daily.

The_brick__by_apple_2 While fantasy remains the mother of speculation, it's possible that Apple will do nothing more than painfully meet expectations one month from today as it did with the release of yet another nano re-design that turned out to be more like an old nano on steroids. Causing the 'Let's Rock' media afterglow to sink like a brick. Or Apple just may squeeze out a new sub-notebook Mac covered in glorious afterbirth and shock us all.

I will admit, the iTunes 8 Genius feature was a nice surprise, but I'm about five refreshed iPhone playlists from being over it. Without new batteries, three of my earlier iPod models are the true bricks in this story.

That's a fact, not a rumor. Same for you too?

Do you even like Apple? Every post is slander. Wow.

The Brick is probably an upgrade to Mac mini.

The true brick is in between my ears.

That's a fact, not a rumor.

I agree, if this brick thing is just an updated mac mini, folks are gonna be disappointed. I hope it's nothing so obvious. And yes, everyone was disappointed with the ipod updates. Personally, I'm stumped. It's supposed to be priced low, so forget a tablet or MacBook touch. I wish, but that doesn't make sense. I hope it's huge and something we're not expecting. Not just cuz I'll buy it, but also because I just picked up a bunch of ridiculously cheap apple stock, and this company needs to show the market what it's really worth.

It's obvious this brick is probably going to be an oversized iPod touch running OSX. Basically a long overdue tablet OSX. Probably intel atom powered, the large 14" screen will feature multi touch plus for multiple input (on screen keyboard) and gestures. I bet you.
