MacBook Pro Cameo Sneaks Into Season Opener of 'The Office' on NBC

On The Office season opener on Thursday night an all but subtle Apple product placement slipped into the show when the receptionist character Pam showed up in the Scranton branch from New York via iChat video. Pam is played by the geekishly hot Jenna Fischer being shuttled around the room, eventually landing on an office chair.

The extremely crisp full screen iChat image appeared on a MacBook Pro. Unfortunately it was not on a newly redesigned MacBook Pro which could have been an epic cool moment, delivering shock and awe by Apple to a legion of couch surfing faithful. Maybe they'll pull a surprise Mac launching on The Office next time around.

Every living room in America was focused on Apple's MacBook Pro for a few very expensive prime time minutes on the Thursday launch of The Office. A prelude to the new Macs perhaps? Apple rules!

Oh yeah, Jim and Pam finally get engaged too.
