BELFAST - As seen above, the first photos reveal that the nearly completed Belfast Apple store is packed full of Mac gear with MacBooks and iMacs spotted in the stores "red zone", confirming earlier reports. Our rogue photographer was able to obtain a few super sneaky spy shots behind the black tarp by rigging a man harness above the store then dropping down all stealthy like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible for a look inside.
The Belfast Apple Store at Victoria Square is scheduled to open on
September 20th at 9 a.m. representing the first Apple retail venture on
the island. The new store will service a metro population of over 1
million residents. We were unable to confirm what percentage of the one
million are already committed Mac heads.
There was no sign of Apple's rumored "Brick" or a confirmed glimpse of the recently uncovered 4GB nano as we originally hoped for. Our photographer was able to disappear into the mall undetected.
