Juarez is a 32 year old developer who proudly admits his fanatical obsession with all things High School Musical. He intends to forward his app design concept onto Disney in hopes of gaining the necessary support and funding required for an App Store submission.
Ernesto Juarez explained that HSM 3 is like three apps in one, allowing users to view exclusive movie trailers of the new film days before general release, watch cast interviews featuring a sneak peek into the making of the film along with up to the minute HSM 3 news and gossip. It's like the wildly popular "Obama For America" app except much less meaningful.
This intuitive app also helps locate stores carrying your favorite HSM brand of cereal
wherever you are. "No more worrying about canceling your breakfast
ritual when you're miles away from home," said Juarez. Alerts track the
number of boxes in stock at super markets within a three mile radius.
"If you've spent endless hours obsessing over HSM movies like I have, you'll know that my iPhone app idea is exactly what true fans have been fantasizing about," Juarez said. "The cereal is actually pretty good too, it tastes a little like Cap'n Crunch with crunch berries. I love eating it for desert. High School Musical is my second life".
"HSM Cast Gossip" is definitely one of my favorite "get a life" stalker features, offering up to the minute naughty news and sightings of the adorable cast as soon as it's posted on the most popular fan sites and forums online. I won't have to be the last one to hear about racy photos of Vanessa Hudgens showing up online. I may actually be the first.
This fan application has something for everyone, even if you're an over thirty stalker like Ernie Juarez or just an average fourteen year old who thinks that 30 year old guys into High School Musical are creepy. All that's required is one unhealthy obsession for everything High School Musical. I wish Ernie luck with his HSM 3 app and the inevitable Disney adventure he's in for.
