If you've had the great misfortune of downloading the Chicago Tribune's "Mobile Zodiac" app for iPhone, you will appreciate this review. I could not help feeling a whole lot dumber after spending a few minutes tooling around this failure of an idea. Once you spin the wheel of fortune to locate your zodiac sign you'll find yourself dragging your horoscope along the bottom of the screen while a lame grouping of annoying photos click past. When a photo of three depression era kids popped up, that capped it for me.
Mobile Zodiac is a painful reminder that bad stock photos playing in
sync with confusing predictions on an iPhone is a poor substitute for
real entertainment. Even people who love reading horoscopes will end up
despising this app. Apple should have rejected this one by hitting the
developers with a baseball bat. Two App Store reviewers summed up this hunk of comic
tragedy perfectly:
So Gay! "As if reading horoscopes aren't gay enough already". JN_Hu$+La
Retarded! "Don't download this it's pathetic." Jeni S.
