Shortly after our story exploded onto the interwebs about iPhone developer Ethan Nicholas, a boat load of well wishers and harsh critics alike began to gather in online forums weighing in on Ethan's wild iShoot app success story. Some comments were fashioned into a drive-by bashing aimed at Nicholas from a few who appeared to be green with envy.
Anonymous critics started posting comments attacking Ethan's decision to give his two week notice at Sun Microsystems in order to pursue iPhone app development full time. A calculated risk that was decided upon once his epic tank combat game iShoot rocketed to the number one Top Paid app position in the iTunes App Store.
"What a noob. This income will not last very long. I hope he is saving all he can, but he still won't be able to live off of it." said one iPhone Savior commenter.
Nicholas quickly fired right back at naysayers with several rounds of stinger missiles on his personal blog entitled; "Why I'm Leaving Sun".
"I’ve had countless armchair quarterbacks telling me what a stupid decision it is to be leaving my day job. I know I should just ignore it and let them be foolish, but it’s getting a little grating having complete strangers telling me what to do (including calling me a “friggin’ MORON”), so I feel the need to respond." Nicholas said in his own defense.
Ethan Nicholas revealed in his post that his iShoot app will surpass $250,000 in profits in just two weeks after Apple's 30-percent stake. "A quarter of a million dollars in two weeks, on a game that took me six weeks to write in my spare time." Ethan said. He went on to challenge his detractors with some sharp comments of his own. The only difference is that he's not hiding behind a fictitious screen name.
"If the idea of giving up the “security” of working at a company that is cutting 6,000 jobs and faces an uncertain financial future for the “risk” of working at a job where you can live in style on just 2% of your current income sounds overly risky to you… seriously, grow a pair!" Nicholas wrote.
Ethan graciously ended his rant with a sincere thank you to all of the iPhone faithful who've contributed to the success of iShoot and thanked those who've chimed in to wish him well.
I'm pretty sure I know what Eric Cartman would have to say to those jealous ass-clowns if he was in Ethan's shoes; "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" Exactly. I'll second that!

That aboy! Screw all of the haters. People will critisize you the more successful you become. It's YOUR LIFE. I wish other critics could remember that.
