STYLE GUIDE: Thomas Marriott, founder of Pocketpack, has a dream that one day his Lightweight iPhone case will forever kill the need for carrying a wallet. "Our entire generation is tech savvy," said Thomas Marriott in a brief phone conversation with the iPhone Savior, "Whenever I leave my apartment my number one priority next to my car key is my iPhone. Why carry a wallet for a driver's license and a few credit cards? I'm looking to de-clutter my life."
Pocketpack is just days away from inspecting their first prototype of "The Lightweight", a super slim, single piece plastic jacket that snaps onto your iPhone. The case is designed to carry currency, business cards or credit cards in the rear while providing hard shell protection for your device.
The Lightweight is also equipped with a nifty LED flashlight added to the top edge of the case. The LED is activated by a touch-sensitive switch and can be used as an ambient light source for snapping photos along with functioning as a flashlight. Marriott's goal is to have his deadly wallet killer ready in time for Holiday shoppers looking for a unique iPhone gift idea.
"We're keen on building a product people really want," Marriott said, "We're looking to create six colors when we go into production. Any feedback we can get now will really help."
