A delicious rumor has sprung up that Apple is busy developing an in-house radio.app for use on the iPhone and iPod touch according to a report by 9 to 5 Mac. The hold up appears to be that Apple is working to integrate Mobile iTunes Store purchases into the functionality of the app. If you like the song your listening to, you can buy it and download within a few taps.
It's expected that the rumored radio.app will most likely have the same Live Pause functionality that currently exists in the iPod Nano. It's speculated that the addition of an FM radio is aimed at zapping one minor advantage the ZuneHD has over Apple's iconic iPod line.

AM/FM is a great addition to the ipod. I have an iPod nano (few years old) which is great in terms of it's size and such. It does have a video screen; however, an AM/FM tuner would have been more useful since I listen to radio, but don't want videos on it at all.
I wonder, are they ever going to bring radio to the iPod nano? I think that would be a nice feature (although I am sure it would raise the price a little bit).

I don't think this app work, iPhones don't have fm tuners physically in them.

they should have done this a long time ago. They had had this technology for a very long time now.
Everybody wins with this feature.
