CINCINNATI - When Donald Goodrich, 38, entered the Apple store at Kenwood Towne Center (Ohio) on Thursday morning, he just wanted his wonky iPhone fixed. Who doesn't? It's my guess that mister Goodrich never really intended to blast his beloved iPhone with the 9mm handgun he had legally concealed underneath his shirt. It was just pent up frustration talking.
Once Goodrich began explaining his iPhone malfunction to an Apple employee he got all swept up in frustration and allegedly told the employee, “I’m so mad, I could pop a 9mm at it,” referring to his iPhone, according court records. Goodrich allegedly followed up with an even bolder statement by saying, “I’ll do it right now! Look!” revealing the handgun.
After that brief game of peek-a-boo, the Apple store employee immediately ensured mister Goodrich she'd get his iPhone fixed. She then walked him over to an Apple Genius while she made a fast break for a store manager who immediately called the cops. Donald Goodrich was confronted by Ohio police and charged with aggravated menacing, for causing fear of harm to an Apple employee.
The lesson to be learned here is simple, if you feel a violent urge to pop a cap in your iPhone's ass (like we all have from time to time) don't show anyone the gun you intend to do it with. Just go off into the woods and get it over with like this one neanderthal actually did.
I applaud Donald Goodrich for his intense passion to encourage excellent customer service, even if his methodology was wildly unorthodox. Can you really blame the guy? It's not like he shot anybody, he just put on an awkwardly timed gun show in order to get his iPhone fixed. This is an iPhone love story that went terribly wrong. That's all.
I'm still curious about the diagnosis the Apple Genius gave the iPhone in question. Will mister Goodrich ultimately get his iPhone repaired or replaced? I hope so! After all this damn hoopla he still deserves a proper resolution to his problem. Maybe he's outside of his one year warranty. Goodrich is scheduled for arraignment Friday morning.

Remember folks, guns always make things better and result in better resolutions.

A warrant has been issued for your arrest for the murder and torture of an iPhone. There was always eBay, but no, you had to commit cell phonicide instead with torture an enhancement to the charge. Looks like you will be expecting double life plus 25 years.
