It's rare when an iPhone app comes along that's so simple but yet so capable of delivering ginormous waves of instant joy until you're soaked in happy juice. Cat Paint ($.99) is just such an app. This amazing cat-based image editor is loaded with eight different cat photos including one chubby Buddha and an adorable little jumping kitten. Select your cat from the kitty litter box, set your size and paint away.
Overlay any kitty cat on the default background or over any photo from your library and feel those waves of joy come crashing in. Every time you paint a cat onto the screen a delightful meow is triggered and another angel gets his wings. Simply shake your iPhone to undo.
There's even an official Cat Paint online gallery where you can upload each one of your epic kitty masterpieces alongside some of the most prolific and often lonely feline painters of our time. In just one day the app has rocketed into the App Store's Top 100.
Cat Paint is the most important iPhone development since Apple gave us cut and paste. Let me introduce you to "cat and paste". I dare you to put it down!
[requires iPhone OS 3.1.2 or later]

I love apps like this, pointless but at the same time insanely gratifying. Reminds me of Statchetastic (http://hugeapps.com/stachetastic.aspx) but with cats :)
