It only took a few short weeks for TomTom to release an update to their turn-by-turn navigation app that now allows owners of both iPod Touch and first-generation iPhones to get in the game.
Once TomTom's long anticipated Car Mount Kit was finally released, word quickly followed that it will only work with iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS devices. Leaving original iPhone and iPod touch users stranded on the long dark highway of disappointment.
The company warns in their update notes that the $120 Car Kit which includes a built-in GPS reciever, is required to gain turn-by-turn directions for original iPhone and iPod touch devices. You can't have one without the other.
Although the update is still great news for those originally left out in the cold, some users continue to contend that $220 is too steep of a price to pay for turn-by-turn navigation.

I'm currently working with TomTom and they've actually released a car kit that is specifically for the iPod Touch. It's $99.95, so $20 cheaper then the iPhone car kit, and includes the built in GPS reciever and charges your iPod.

Hello..
It also brings iPod player support, text-to-speech, lane guidance, and an updated point of interest database. It has many features. I am looking forward to read the review.
Thanks you.
