The invitation has arrived! Thanks to countless rumors and leaks that turned out to be spot on — Apple has officially announced a special media event for Wednesday, September 12 with an invitation that includes a shadow of the number 5 extending from the date — along with the tag line "It's almost here".
The stark black and white invite offers up little details beyond the place and time of the product announcement to be held at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts theater starting at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
All clues point to the unveiling of Apple's newest iPhone look-alike that may indeed be called iPhone 5 after all — based upon the invitation's clever foreshadowing.
Several fully-assembled iPhone 5 mock-ups have been circulating in China recently — featuring taller, thinner body, with a 4.0-inch screen (up from 3.5 inches), a widely publicized two-tone back, mini Dock Connector, redesigned speaker grills, headphone jack on bottom.
It's also been rumored that iPhone 5 will be Apple's first 4G LTE capable device and will ship with newly redesigned Earbuds as seen in a set of photos leaked over the weekend.
iPhone 5 is expected to be released to the public on Friday, September 21st — only nine days after it's unveiling. Some reports are also confirming that Apple's newly updated line of iPods will likely share the stage with their next-generation iPhone.

its wonderful to hear that
