Atom Based Mini-iTablet Device Confirmed
"Intel Germany CEO Hannes Schwaderer confirmed today what has long been a rumor on the Internet: namely, that there is an iPhone with Intel’s new Atom chip. The device is slightly larger than the current version, Schwaderer said. That is not, however, because of the Intel chip, but because of the larger display used in the new iPhone." Source: Mac Rumors
It's been called an iPad, a mini-tablet, iTablet and an iPad Touch among many names that cult followers have visualized in their wet dreams. The latest mock up came from Isamu Sanada calling his touch pad device a Mac Air Tablet. Call it what you will but it's certain that Apple is working a recipe for a larger touch device which lines up with Steve Jobs' statement that the iPod touch is "A platform not a product".
Apple will have a tough time keeping the lid on their mini-itablet (720x480) device rumored to be announced at the WWDC on June 9th. The reality of an internet connected device capable of being a book reader and gaming device may no longer be a thing that sloppy wet dreams are made of. Get ready to bow down and worship the cults newest jonny-come-lately favorite in June. It's important to note that sources have also reported that Hannes Schwaderer allegedly believes that Tom Cruise is a Martian and little people are living under the floorboards of his house. You've been warned.
