Apple Starts Selling Really Expensive Unlocked iPhone 5 In The U.S.A.

 

 

If you've been desperately holding out to buy an overpriced, unlocked, contract free iPhone 5 — here's your big chance fellas. GO! Buy two even.

Apple has begun selling untethered versions of their wildly popular iPhone 5 in the Apple store online at $649 for the 16GB, $749 for 32 GB and a ridiculous $849 for the voluptuous 64 GB model. Oooh yeah!

This pricing model is fantastic news for Apple stockholders — but the bad news is that an unlocked iPhone 5 is not supported by CDMA networks like those run by Verizon and Sprint. Plus anxious buyers will also be limited to only 2 phones.

That hunk of bad news is going to sting a bit for those greedy vultures on Wall Street.

But please don't mistake my mild sarcasm as discouragement — all you 1% people in the country who have not bought an iPhone 5 yet, trust me, this is the deal for you. Now you'll be free to pitch a tent with any GSM carrier worldwide.

The best news is that Apple is quoting ship times at only one week and shipping is FREE for all the lucky knuckleheads willing to pay too much for that joyous feeling of being unlocked. It's almost like wearing a jockstrap on the outside of your pants because you can.

I'm just kidding! Paying these prices are so much cheaper compared to the ungodly iPhone 5 gouging going on everyday in China. So don't hesitate to move on this epic opportunity Apple is tossing out there.

This Working Instagram Camera Is The Ultimate Hipster Halloween Costume

 

Photographer Eric Micotto has created an inspiring ultra-geek Instagram costume that captures live photos on the go.

His costume design is powered by a Nikon D800 used to snap photos with the “lens” which pops through the costume up front— an iPad is embedded on the rear to act as a giant LCD screen to view the images.

“On the iPad, I linked to my Eye-fi card using the Shutter Snitch app, which I’ve found works much better for me than the official Eye-fi app. I also set the iPad to not go to sleep so that it would remain lit up and ready.” Eric told Peta Pixel.

The end result causes insta-hipster envy everywhere Eric goes with an Instagram camera in the front and party in the back — all night long!

Chicks go nuts over guys dressed like an Instagram camera. No doubt about it.

Everyone knows that corporate tech media are worst than politicians when it comes to being flip-flopping, shaved apes who offer up no real substance — it's far easier to whine about the shortcomings of iPhone 5 than it is to properly worship Apple's superior design evolution.

Saturday Night Live does a hysterical job roasting CNET, Wired Magazine and Gizmodo over their cry baby style iPhone 5 reviews in front of three Chinese Foxconn factory workers. Killed it!

Mad Magazine Spoofs Apple Maps With Cover of The New Yorker

 

Even Mad Magazine has jumped into the Apple Maps bashing party — spoofing an iconic cover of The New Yorker in order to drive home an obvious point in the right direction.

The spoof is based on Saul Steinberg’s original art titled "View of the World from 9th Avenue" which appeared in an issue of The New Yorker on March 29, 1976 as cover art.

Somebody Had To Write Apple An iOS Maps Song

Novelty singer-songwriter Jonathan Mann, the guy who performed the first duet with Siri — could not resist singing “The iOS Maps Song” — in an attempt to remind us all that even Steve Jobs had his share of little product launch missteps. Somebody had to!

Here's three minutes of my life I'm never getting back. “The Instagram Song (Put A Filter On Me)”, does a novel job spoofing the realities behind being a hardcore Instragrammer — in a cringe-worthy, bubblegum, Indie-Pop style.

Clever song lyrics deliver spot-on satire aimed at Instragram users with the line; “I added shadows, so now it's art.” while the singer is photographing dog crap.

This ukulele-fueled thrill ride of art imitating true life is led by Julia Mattison, who has a bunch of other YouTube videos — although none have drawn the views like her Instagram Song thanks to a huge lift from Huff Post coverage.

Instagram is about being in community with other lo-fi photo nerds exploring an addictive social disorder that continues to gain popularity.

It will only be a matter of time now before The Instagram Song is featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show — then this little (#annoying) tune will go viral for sure.
