An eerie Apple silence started off the news week of September 10th until Apple Inc. reported the sale of it's one-millionth iPhone on Monday, a few weeks ahead of schedule. The celebrated milestone for Apple was due in large part to the $200 iPhone price cut, the enormous outcry from early adopters, the media circus surrounding the price cut, the rebate love letter from Steve Jobs to the iPhone faithful (that made him appear really nice) and the fact that no one on planet earth cared about the $50 price cut on Microsoft's Zune digital media player (or at least no one was willing to admit it). Did I mention the $200 price cut?

The landmark sales news from Apple has allowed iPhone cult members across the U.S. to take a much needed sigh of relief after last week's "price cut heard around the world" that rocked Jesus Phone followers to their foundation. Steve Jobs became more popular than both Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in the media for a successive three day period last week, setting a less important landmark. Did I mention the $200 price cut?
"No news is good news right now when it comes to the iPhone" said Barry Souvern who paid $699 for his 8GB iPhone on June 29th "Actually, the news of one million iPhones sold is not no news, I meant no news about anything else that could be bad for us early adopters, that would not be good news." explained a nervous Souvern, sweating excessively during his interview.
Barry Souvern insisted that The Savior feature a photo of his personal iPhone wallpaper which he is extremely proud of, but admits that it still stirs up feelings of anger over the price drop. "I keep that picture of the iPhone as my wallpaper so I'll never forget the pain of September 5th. It will always be a sobering memory for me." Souvern said, appearing a bit disoriented while speaking and clutching his fanny pack.
Apple has said it will sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008.
