SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The launch of Mac OS X Leopard on Friday
night delivered all of the hoopla and excitement anyone could expect at
Apple retail stores across the country. In many locations the lines
seemed to stretch on endlessly with many faithful in New York's SoHo
neighborhood braving the gusty winds and pouring rain. Anticipation hit
a fever pitch just prior to 6:00 PM. In typical Apple fashion the line
began moving right on time with world premiere Leopard T-shirts being
handed out along with bottles of water for many of the line gazers.
"T-shirts were the main draw for the first person in line outside the SoHo store, a New York Mac enthusiast named Adam who said he arrived at 2:00 p.m. He merely wanted the free T-shirt Apple was giving out to people waiting in line to purchase the OS." Source - Macworld
For Danny Burns at the San Francisco Apple Store, the unexpected low point of the evening came minutes after the line began to move, in the form of the Leopard launch commemorative t-shirt that he too waited four hours to obtain. Burns explained that he'll wait to buy the new Leopard OS, until after the kinks are ironed out. He stood in line for the free t-shirt that he could only get at the world premiere.
"I
was so disappointed that I waited all day for that crap. What a buzz
kill!"
Burns explained that so much of the pre-launch hype made the
Leopard launch appear bigger than life making the shirt rather lack
luster in comparison. "I expected a big Leopard face on the front with
some clever message about pouncing or something that sounded fierce and
dangerous. Not some tiny 'X' over outer space. Hey Apple! The Twilight
Zone called, they want their logo back."
Early reports on Mac's new operating system speak highly of the many features with the focus placed on The Time Machine backup. Danny Burns could use a time machine right about now, to get back the five hours he threw away waiting for a dumb t-shirt. "I'm selling my shirt on Ebay as soon as I get home, I'll write 'Add a new lame Apple shirt to your shirts' in my ad and see if anyone gets the joke." The global roll out of OS X Leopard is officially under way with one early review coming from San Francisco via Danny Burns, "I waited four hours outside The Apple Store and all I got was this t-shirt." Ready, set, launched!

That's funny. I came home and tried mine immediately to see how it fit. The first words out of my daughters' mouths were "cool shirt". My wife had the same reaction, but she went even further and said if she didn't know better, she'd swear I had been working out when she wasn't looking. (I have been, but it took the Leopard shirt for her to notice.)
I just might bid on this guy's shirt on eBay.
I hope others feel the same as this guy. I could use a few more.

Hopefully Apple will get it right for Danny on 10.6. He can walk around with t-shirt that says: "Pussy"
Waste of a human life. A good argument for abortion. It was free you moron.
