John Stewart Hacks on David Lynch with iPhone Academy Awards Cameo

LOS ANGELES, CA - Early into Sunday nights Academy Awards presentation, John Stewart slipped in a deliberate bit of sarcastic iPhone humor. Stewart mentioned that he loves new media while he's seen holding Apple's iPhone and joking about watching the epic film Lawrence of Arabia, "To really appreciate it you have to see it in the wide screen," said Stewart. Many in the crowd politely chuckled and then immediately called their agent to order one of their own. Those Hollyweirdos don't like to be outdone.

Though it was not a brilliant comic moment for Stewart, it was a gargantuan slice of Academy Award history for iPhone to share the stage with Oscar. The real story here was the fact that John Stewart clearly designed his unscripted iPhone stint to chap the ass of Director David Lynch who was no doubt watching in utter horror. Leopard Fanatic Gets Entire Body Painted

What in the world was this guy thinking? Did he lose a bet? That was my first thought when I saw Leopard Man painted from head to toe in leopard spots with the dangly parts in plain view. But the insanity doesn't end there. An entire UK website plays host to the lost art of body painting. The resulting photos amount to pure comic genius when consumed in one full dose.

Don't miss Daredevil and Spiderman who make for uncontrollable bursts of laughter. The Gold Statue guy brings new meaning to the name "Gold Member" and super hero  Captain America made me wish he was photographed with his standard shield in hand. The website is NSFW because of full frontal dude-ity but worth the visit for the most fun you can legally have for free. Wouldn't these "lunatics in the wild" photos make great exotic iPhone wallpapers?

Geeks Form First iBand With iPhone Instruments

Small format, handheld touch screen musicians are the future, so you had better get used to it. If you haven't seen Pocket Guitar (iPhone guitar) or iAno (iPhone piano) function on Apple's iPhone then you're going to jaw drop when you hear the newly formed band of geeks calling themselves iBand. It' the first iPhone band to form around touch screen instruments and the delusion of miniature rock stardom.

This group of Guitar Hero refugees have teamed up to perform their first jam session together via YouTube that includes two iPhones and a Nintendo DS used for rhythm. The results are less than musical brilliance but that assessment would mean you've missed the point. The iBand jam session delivers one hundred percent geekish adulation and satisfaction, because it's on an iPhone. The experience rivals the first time a 13 year old discovers lighting farts on fire. Pure genius! It's not a fad... it's a scene.

It wouldn't be fair to take a dump all over this fresh idea until you give a good long look under the lid. Don't judge a Mac by it's cover because iToilet is a real functional pseudo-computer that is sure to become the primary throne of every Apple geek. The iToilet was created by the dynamic duo of FedeX  & Valereo simply because they found a random toilet on the curb. The guys get extra credit for capturing the iToilet photo collection on an 8GB iPhone, now that's a two flusher.

Vista Users Seek Weapons To End Nightmare

There seems to be no end to the Windows Vista circus of epic failures, even when the fat lady has sung her second encore. Miserable Microsoft devotees are dying a slow and painful Vista death and I'm now convinced they will return as hideous flesh eating zombies after this latest SP1 update nightmare.

CNET is reporting that Microsoft has suspended automatic distribution of their Windows Vista SP1 update according to a tragic post by Microsoft product manager Nick White on the official Windows Vista blog. One irate Vista Ultimate user is claiming he needed to reformat his entire hard drive, that resulted in the loss of all his files and programs. He then admitted that he has become a killer zombie with a thirst for blood. I knew it! Hey zombie boy! Apple Jacks iPod Shuffle for New 2GB Model

Apple announced a price drop on their wildly popular 1GB iPod Shuffle, lowing it to $49 dollars in favor of the new 2GB model for $69. Now every soccer Mom can include totally bitchin party favors inside the Sponge Bob piñata at their eight-year-old's "under the sea" themed birthday party. All on the cheap thanks to Apple.

It won't be long before you start seeing free iPods hidden inside every box of Apple Jacks cereal. Trust me on this. The disposable iPod is much closer than you think. Seriously, I'm serious. Look for a nifty back-to-school price drop on the iPod Nano in tandem with an upgrade this summer.

Apple Issues MacBook, MacBook Pro Keyboard Firmware Update

According to Apple this MacBook and MacBook Pro firmware update addresses an issue where the first key press may be ignored if the computer has been sitting idle. It also addresses some other issues (wha?). There are other issues? This keyboard firmware update does not include MacBook Air so all you air-heads can relax and enjoy your profound thinnovation.

Apple indicates that the update package will install an updater application into the Applications/Utilities folder and will launch it automatically. You will need to carefully follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process. Remember that this is a firmware update. You also have the option to manually run the update later by double-clicking the updater in your Utilities folder. Installation of MacBook and MacBook Pro Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5.2. Apple has provided a complete listing of included devices [here].

iPhone 1.1.4 Update Faked, All a Tiny-Code Joke

[UPDATED] Who yanked my chain? KellyTM from Tiny-Code has admitted to his extremely elaborate plot to deceive the entire planet into believing that he was working with Apple's soon to be released SDK and a subsequent iPhone 1.1.4 firmware update. I must admit, redirecting his Tiny-Code website to the iPhone Dev Center with the claim that Apple was beating him down was pure evil genius of the Dr. Evil ilk. Kelly has issued a six point half-hearted apology for his boyish prank and has loosely admitted that he sees an upside to the entire fiasco. I hope that works out for him.
