NEW DELHI, INDIA - Anxious iPhone faithful in India have started lining up like crazed New Yorkers after Apple finally announced that both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone can begin to pre-register customers for their respective iPhone 3G launches on August 22nd. Neither company has provided details on monthly data bondage plans or contract lengths. Bharti Airtel has about 69 million subscribers, while Vodafone Essar has about 49 million according to a report by AppleInsider.
Twenty one other countries will be joining India in their charmed life of iPhone 3G mania on August 22nd. Here are a sampling of just a few; the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Romania, the Philippines, and Hungary are the top seven of 21 international stops announced by Apple, as phase two of their iPhone 3G world domination tour rolls onward.
