If you have not experienced Koi Pond, Apple's number one paid app for iPhone and iPod touch, you're missing out on a serious screen full of delight for only $.99 cents. The app is great for impressing friends when I run my finger across the surface creating ripples that cause my Koi to dart away. I love the realistic water simulation, the ability to change scenery and the relaxing ambient sound track. This app is nearly perfection.
My only complaint is that the fish are missing a clever farting feature. After previewing video of the ingenious 'Pull My Finger' app recently rejected for the App Store by Apple, Koi pond feels mind numbingly vapid and repetitious.
Rather than just making the Koi dart away, I would prefer each fish deliver a unique underwater farting sound when touched. It would be a riot to hear fish farts and watch the air bubbles rise to the surface, causing the other fish to instantly disappear from the screen. An aqua farting feature would add so much flair and depth to this useful and wildly popular application.
Koi Pond 3.0... Now with realistic farting fish sound! That would be epic.
While different from Koi Pond, the just released Big Mouth Billy Bass for the iPhone has farting, singing, burping and more.
