Young Mac fanatic Victor Anselme wasted no time stoking the flames of fanboy fantasies with his new Mac Mini concept inspired by a recent Mac Rumors report showing evidence that the refreshed Mac Mini will be based on the NVIDIA MCP79 chipset. An idea that opens the possibility of full HD video. While Anselme chose not to stray too far from Apple's current Mini footprint, he did include the things that dreams are made of along with the need for speed.
"Apple recently switched their MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models to the NVIDIA chipsets in October. Amongst other benefits, the new notebooks have much improved graphics card capabilities, which make them more suitable to take advantage of OpenCL technologies coming in Snow Leopard." said Arnold Kim for MacRumors.
Speculation points to the debut of a refreshed iMac and Mac Mini along with a 32GB iPhone at the Macworld Conference in San Francisco beginning on January 5, 2009. Phil Schiller, Apple's Senior VP of worldwide product marketing will be stepping in to fill the gargantuan shoes of CEO Steve Jobs presenting Macworld's wildly popular keynote.
The emergence of a refreshed iMac and Mac MIni is widely anticipated by Apple faithful to be the highlight of a Jobs-less Macworld keynote. Analysts have chimed in to lower expectations for any new Apple product announcements. The Apple rumor mill is still cranking full speed ahead for Macworld making anything possible.
