It's no secret that a publish video to MobileMe function was discovered shortly after Apple released their iPhone 3.0 beta last month. It appears that's only the tip of the iceberg. A new discovery has been published by BenM from German website BenM.AT hinting at video-editing tools lurking on-board.
The UIimages folder shows (In) and (Out) markers for editing along with a series of Movie Scrubber images. It appears that iMovies can modified using an iPhone video app.
It's highly anticipated that the addition of video will be a key new feature included with the next-generation iPhone. A device equipped with a faster processor and more storage capabilities makes video a foregone conclusion. When Apple finally launches video for iPhone I'm expecting it will be done right, making on-board editing and the ability to upload video content direct from iPhone essential. This news makes the waiting for a June iPhone unveiling much more tedious. In the immortal words of Tom Petty, "The waiting is the hardest part."
