SEATTLE, WA - If you happened to haunt the Apple Store on Seattle's eastside, trick or treating on Halloween night, you would've found "no candy for you!" Apple's geeky little trick was an unexpected treat for many Mac daddies with kids in tow at the mall.
The Bellevue Apple store handed out a few hundred Nano-sized bookmarks to a massive swarm of kids that included little bees, pirates, princesses and even a miniature Captain America without a shield. Colored in trademark turquoise, the bookmark has magnets on the inside tips in order to lock in your page from both sides.
Many of the little goblins looked a tad confused leaving the store, quickly realizing that in Appletown bookmarks are so much better than candy. That concept makes no sense to hardcore sugar junkies. The Apple bookmark, aimed more at Macheads than munchkins, disappeared shortly after 7:30 PM.
Could Apple be hinting at an e-book reader? The rumored tablet device perhaps? Was that little hint the real Halloween treat delivered to kiddies?

Here's the deal Penguin. When you walk into a store that does not carry a single book but hands out a slickly designed bookmark... the mind starts to wander. Yeah it's a stretch. But it's not like you can use the thing with a MacBook. So is Apple promoting book reading?

Seriously ? You're reading Apple hinting at the new tablet, because of a magnetised bookmark ?

It's so sweet of that Bellevue Apple Store to hand out some candies and nano-shaped bookmarks.
