STYLE GUIDE: The latest must-have iPhone accessory is a mini-sausage snack spotted in South Korea. The make-shift sausage fingers called "Maxbong", are being used as a low-tech stylus by iPhone fanatics who prefer to troll their device without removing their gloves in the winter cold.
It's rumored that sales of the South Korean meat poles have soared some 40-percent since recently becoming all the rage for new iPhone owners.
The manly meat sticks used with the wrapper left intact, act as convenient surrogate finger for dialing calls, launching apps and even texting. Sales of Apple's Phone n South Korea quickly topped 90,000 units sold shortly after it was launched on November 28, 2009.
"I've tested a few mini meat snacks with my own iPhone here in the states," said iPhone developer Elam Nikserof, "But nothing has worked while keeping the wrapper on like the Korean meat stylus. I'm looking into importing the sausage as an exclusive U.S. carrier."
Nikserof intends to create a snug designer cover for his sausage fingers, allowing only the tip of the meat to be exposed for interacting with the iPhone. His fashionable mystery meat condom concept already has substantial financial backing according to Nikserof. He expects his idea to launch by mid summer. (videos after break)
