Apple's vigilant porn police have yanked down iChatr, the free Chatroulette-style iPhone 4 video app that lasted just over a week since it first debuted in the App Store on July 9th. Developers SKJM, LLC posted very few details on their blog after alerting users through Twitter.
"The iChatr application has currently been removed from the App Store due to reports of a number of users exposing themselves during the random video chat sessions." SKJM wrote.
"We are currently discussing possible solutions to the problem with Apple."
The app was doomed to fail from the start as some of us accurately predicted that random pole stroking exhibitionists would eventually show up, delivering the kind of raunchy iNudity that has made Chatroulette a hazard for the average web troller.
"This is why we can’t have nice things." SKJM devs told their users.
The sudden removal of this kind of random video chatting app is certain to kill chances for other developers who may have similar style apps in the works. Good luck with that one fellas.
