Apple Kills Sale of Epic Steve Jobs Action Figure

Just two days after sales began, the epic Steve Jobs (action) figure that promised instant holiday joy for hundreds of Macheads has been halted on command by Apple. The detailed Jobsian likeness, standing upon an Apple logo platform, was originally sold for $79.90 USD.

On Tuesday, a law firm representing Apple, Inc. issued an official C & D order to M.I.C. Gadget requesting that the wildly popular news site immediately cease the marketing and sale of their Steve Jobs figurine.

"I'm pissed off that I waited to put in my order," said longtime Mac fanatic Elam Nikserof, "I so wanted that miniature Steve Jobs figurine to sit on my desk right next to my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. Jobs is more than an icon, he's my personal hero. It's a sad day for all Apple fanboys like myself."

Apple Confirms 2010 One-Day Black Friday Sale

Apple has posted an official teaser pimping their annual one-day-only Black Friday shopping event taking place on Friday, November 26th. In typical form, the company will not be revealing exactly what Mactastic items they'll be putting on sale until Friday.

"Come back to the Apple Online Store this Friday for a special one-day-only shopping event. You’ll find dozens of great iPad, iPhone, iPod and Mac gifts for everyone on your list."

It's expected that the magical iPad will be included in Apple's one-day extravaganza in order to put the beatdown on retailers featuring Android based tablets at a discount.

Special pricing on iMacs, iPod touch, MacBooks and a rainbow of iPod nanos should also be anticipated based on previous one-day sales.

Apple has typically announced sale pricing on their website one minute after Midnight on Black Friday, officially signaling the start of the holiday shopocalypse for Macheads.

If you're on the hunt for anything Mac this holiday season, Apple's 2010 Black Friday event will be worth the wait. There's just nothing like that new Mac smell.

Apple Ditches Plans to Embed iPhone SIM Card

After cell carriers threatened to stop offering subsidies for iPhone, Apple has reportedly abandoned plans to create its own embedded SIM card so consumers could choose and switch between mobile carriers more easily. 

The move would allow iPhone owners to change networks, using an app or iTunes, without needing to swap carrier-specific SIM cards. Forcing operators to become more competitive for their share of the iPhone pie. 

"Apple had wanted to exclude operators, such as Vodafone and O2, from the sale process in order to build a more direct relationship with customers." - Source: The Telegraph

One senior source at a European mobile carrier told the U.K. publication that Apple was "sent back to the drawing board with their tails between their legs."

Although Apple has ditched plans for including embedded SIM cards in the iPhone, the company is still expected to push forward with the SIM card idea in new iPad devices. Speculation points to Christmas as the release of the new iPad, while other sources have pointed to an early 2011 release.

"Apple has been able to press ahead with new SIM in the iPad because the popular touchscreen computer is not subsidised by mobile operators." The Telegraph reported.

For now users will remain hostage to long-term prison sentences from carriers like AT&T if they want to take part in the iPhone revolution sweeping planet earth.
