Foursqaure App Adds Photos and Comments

Foursquare has pushed out an update to their wildly popular iPhone app that now includes photos and comments. These two heavily requested features should make the app even more appealing to the chronically social.

These new social updates in Foursquare version 2.2 lets you attach photos to check-ins, tips and venues, and add comments to the check-ins of your friends. Will photos and comments will get added to the rest of your Foursquare activity and will be included on your history page.

Photos added to check-ins are visible only to your friends (and the networks you share to, like Facebook and Twitter). While tip and venue photos are open to the community.

For comments, be sure that your iPhone has Foursquare push notifications turned on so you’ll know when your friends leave comments. Comments are only visible to your friends.

Epic iPhone Cheese Dock Returns for the Holidays

Last year we featured the story of a wildly original iPhone Cheese Dock created by Ally Fontaine, who served it up at her annual Christmas party. This year is no exception as her "Santa Baby iPhone Cheese Dock" makes a triumphant return.

"Several of our friends asked if I my iPhone cheese dock would be back this year," Ally told the iPhone Savior. "I wasn't about to let them down, especially since my husband and I bought the iPhone 4. My cheese doc has become a thing of legend around my house."

The iPhone connector sits flush on the block of pepper jack cheese after Ally carved out a path for the cable behind her high tech appetizer. For some extra cheesy flair, Santa's Little Helpers app (now extinct in the App Store), cycles through a slide show of scantily clad ladies sporting festive holiday attire. Making this fantastical creation a delicious thing of beauty.

This do-it-yourself cheese dock makes a unique iPhone-themed addition to any holiday party where faithful Macheads are gathered. Anything less at the Fontaine's house would be ho, ho-rendous. Simply brilliant!

Which means no long lines and it guarantees your item will be in stock.

Reserve your desired Apple gift then simply dial in your pick-up date. The Apple store promises express pay on any item you reserve for store pick-up. The Apple Store app is a free download for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Video: The Digital Story Of The Nativity

 

What if the Nativity were to happen today, in the social networking age of Facebook, text messaged via iPhone, searched on Google and then re-tweeted by millions on Twitter?

A wildly popular new video transforms the birth of baby Jesus into the tech savvy 21st century. It was designed by a Lisbon, Portugal-based digital marketing company called Excentric. The epic video took the Excentric team roughly five weeks to complete from concept to the final YouTube upload.

"The Digital Story of the Nativity" depicts the familiar biblical story of the Immaculate Conception using everyday Google searches, tweets, e-mails, Facebook "Likes", YouTube video and check-ins" through Foursquare. The result is absolutely brilliant.

Facebook iPhone App Gets A Meaningful Update

Although there are no completely new features to speak of, iPhone users will be happy to know that the Facebook 3.3.3 update has added a handful of meaningful improvements that include numerous bug fixes and a couple of UI enhancements.

If you've been experiencing frequent crashes on the app, Facebook has included an instant remedy for that and a few other things, as well:

Steve Jobs Action Figure Hits Ebay For $2,500

 

UPDATED: Remember that little Steve Jobs (action) figure sold by M.I.C. Gadget at the end of November for $79? Well now some over zealous capitalist from the United Kingdom is seeking a cool starting bid of $1,000 USD for the same mini Steve on Ebay.

One Portland, Oregon seller already sold his for $2,500 on December 12.

Apple served M.I.C. Gadget with a cease and desist order only three days after the wildly popular Chinese website put a limited 300 figures up for sale.

The ultra-rare collectible is getting a huge boost in market value now that obsessed Macheads are actually willing to fork over a hefty ransom for their very own Steve Jobs figurine.

Of course, you can pay just $99 to Etsy seller MiniYou for his handcrafted original version of Steve Jobs, which comes complete with two left feet.

The current Ebay listings have attracted zero bids at the writing of this post and carry a Buy It Now price of $2,500. Are you willing to cough up a couple grand for a little Steve Jobs in your living room.

iPhone 4 Gets Its Own Etch A Sketch Case

 

STYLE GUIDE: That feeling of childlike wonder is back with this official Etch a Sketch case release for iPhone 4. It's the kind of flamboyant retro protection that will help make dropped calls on the painful At&T network almost bearable.

The unfortunate design flaw on this one is its fugly backside that looks like a helicopter landing pad. The gargantuan Headcase logo only adds insult to injury. But maybe that's just me being picky.

Apple's mythical White iPhone 4 is coming home for the holidays as a shiny new ornament that I can't wait to dangle upon my ginormous tree. It will be like having a friggin Unicorn in the house for Christmas.

Plants vs. Zombies Are Now Loveable Toys

In an attempt to draw attention away from the iconic cuteness of Angry Birds plush toys, characters from the wildly popular iPhone game 'Plants vs. Zombies' have been transformed into cute and loveable misfit toys for grown ups.

Both the Plants and Zombies are clothed in vivid color and crafted with fine detail using polymer clay. Expect to pay $80 for a mixed set of six characters or just buy the brian munching Zombie crew on their own.
