SAN JOSE, CA - Sad news coming out of San Jose confirms that mobile Flash was found dead in a seedy motel room early on Tuesday morning in what appears to be an apparent suicide. A handgun was found near the body, in addition to a rambling farewell note left by the once popular Flash according to a detailed report by Scoopertino News.
A coroner's report confirmed that the multi-media super star died instantly from a single gunshot wound to the head at approximately 4:00 AM.
Most who knew Flash imagined it was only a matter of time before a tragedy like this occurred since Adobe announced they would pull the plug on the mobile technology back on November 9th. A shocking admission of failure from a company that aggressively defended Flash and its mobile strategy even when Apple refused to allow him access to the iPhone and iPad.
“He was an icon,” said Danny Winokur, Flash’s best friend and Adobe VP of Interactive Development. “He had it all. Good looks, millions of fans, he was a moneymaking machine. I can’t believe he’s gone.” Scoopertino reported.
Wired Magazine insisted that "Adobe had it coming" as the tech blog mourned the loss of Flash in a post entitled The Long, Slow Goodbye of Mobile Flash.
"The writing was on the wall for Flash years ago, and Adobe knew it," wrote Mike Isaac for Wired's Gadget Lab.
Although this news does not come as a shock, we are deeply saddened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Adobe family in this time of loss. A private memorial for Flash will be held in Seattle later this week.
