You don't have to be a fanatical Broncos fan to cheer on the amazing success of Tim Tebow. The Denver Broncos quarterback is the biggest story in the National Football League this season with a 7-1 winning record since talking over the team's starting position from Kyle Orton.
What's even more amazing to watch is the mass of people submitting photos to the wildly popular website Tebowing.com, which is quickly becoming the sports equivalent of "Planking".
"What is Tebowing? To get down on one knee and start praying, even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different."
The 24-year-old scrambling quarterback is known for his signature "kneel down", praying on the sidelines during crucial parts of a football game and at the close of games after leading his team to an epic comeback win. The deliberate art of Tebowing has even made its way to the Apple store.
One of our readers, Mike Hamilton, sent us his photo from the Bellevue Washington Apple store where he captured his own Tebowing moment with a new iPhone firmly gripped in hand.
"I just made the switch over from Android to iPhone and I'm so thankful," Hamilton wrote in his email. "Right after I finished Tebowing a cute girl walked up and asked me if I was from Denver. I invited her to Tebow with me again, but she declined."
If you're a fan of Tim Tebow or not, I found viewing the seemingly endless pages of committed Tebowers almost addictive after five pages in. I suggest starting with the website's Top Ten and then working your way to Tebowing on a fire hydrant, off a diving board, in front of the Eiffel Tower and even an under water shot during a diving trip.
Committed iPhone fanatics may have finally met their match. So where are you Tebowing?
There's an app for Tebowing!! Well it's a Tim Tebow app and it has one tab about Tebowing and all.
Check out the "Tebow" app on the AppStore: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tebow/id476712213?mt=8
