Almost two years after creeping onto the interwebs, the first ever "Mac-inspired" dating site Cupidtino, has released a must-have iPhone app for Apple fanboys and girls looking to make a mobile love connection. No kidding!
The ability for members to search and browse profiles, as well as sending unlimited messages to other Mac-obsessed singles on the go is one of the big draws here. I'm convinced that Cupidtino could potentially double their user base now that they've put the hope of finding eternal Mac-love in the palm of your hands.
The Cupidtino concept was imagined by three San Francisco based geeks who all firmly believe that every Macheart has a soul mate waiting to find a perfect match. According to the website FAQ, Cupidtino has attracted some 30,000 members interested in dating other Apple fanatics.
After viewing dozens of new member photos who've just "joined the party" since the app launched, I seriously hope that some of these potential couples don't actually end up mating. The results could be disaterous. Many of the new comers are not so... Mac-dreamy.
You can download the Cupidtino app for free, but access to some of the unlimited messaging and chat features will cost you $4.99 per month as an in-app purchase. But be warned, once you decide to upgrade you'll be locked into a non-refundable membership for the first month.
"Cupidtino is like a neighborhood café where the people are hip, decor is classy, conversation is intelligent and prices are reasonable. But it's open at your convenience, folks are from around the world, and it's less awkward to talk to someone." Cupidtino wrote on their iTunes app description.
Apparently joining Cupidtino may be a lot like the Hotel California — you can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave!
