Nothing rocks harder than a stack of Marshall amps — so why not own a tabletop model that lets your iPhone rock you like a hurricane. Marshall has officially launched their Hanwell Anniversary Edition Loudspeaker for the epic guitar hero in all of us.
This portable home audio speaker cabinet which “embodies Marshall’s legacy of loud,” was named after Hanwell, the London neighborhood where Jim Marshall first opened his small music shop back in 1962.
The wooden cabinet cloaked in black vinyl — houses a carefully tuned system with dual long-throw woofers and hi-fi tweeters designed to produce super lows and really crispy high notes. Marshall added a retro power switch along with signature controls for volume, bass, treble and a single mini line-in port.
Marshall's 50th Anniversary loudspeaker is expected to hit stores in November 2012, branded with a numbered anniversary edition commemorative badge for all the committed collector nerds. Pricing for this little headbanger has not yet been announced.
Now you can finally add that classic guitar amp aesthetic to your living room without ever having to play a single lick of guitar. Do you you know what else adds a classic guitar amp aesthetic to your home? A real classic guitar amp.
