If you are no longer a fan of Instagram and want to make the move to delete your account forever without losing your photos — it's easier than you think.
So is backing up your vast collection of Insagram images.
Before you tap the Delete button you should export your photos onto your hard drive using Instaport — a simple way to get all your photos downloaded in a nifty .zip file. Be patient with the download process because Instaport has posted that they're "expecting high traffic right now".
- Go to Instaport at http://instaport.me/
- Sign in with your Instagram handle
- Choose download and start the export
Once you've opened the .zip file on your computer and confirmed that all your images have been downloaded as planned, you're finally ready to delete Instagram for good.
Access your online photo page at Instagram.com (Instagram.com/Username) type in the forward slash and add your username. You should now see all your photos.
Select your Profile located at the Top Right of the page > click Edit Profile > then scroll down until you see I'd like to delete my account located on the bottom right. Click it.
Kiss your Instagram account #Instagoodbye for all eternity. Most of you may already have your Instagood images stored on your iPhone camera roll which means that you can skip the download and back up part of this ugly little breakup.
Good luck with that.
Another way to download your Instagram photos is by using a tool called SocialSafe.
If not only gets your photos, likes, comments and tags, but also you friends and followers. All of your data is stored on you own PC/Mac, and can be viewed and searched in a beautiful journal.
