Photographer Tom Zimberoff has decided to unearth a series of original photos he cleverly calls “Nose Jobs”, includes George Lucas and Yoda wearing classic a Groucho Marx nose and glasses — a gag that the photographer liked to shoot at the end of his sessions as a way to promote his work using post cards.
The image of Lucas titled “May The Nose Be With You”, was captured in 1989 at his Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California. Tom Zimberoff reveals his visit with Lucas and tells the tale of a private tour through an epic San Rafael warehouse filled with Star Wars and Indiana Jones props.
This unique Kickstarter series also features rare photos of Steve Jobs posing in the lobby of his Next headquarters in Palo Alto circa 1989.
Zimberoff is releasing museum quality prints of both Steve Jobs and George Lucas available through Kickstarter (with or without the nose) starting at $100 for (8x10) images which includes a poster version thrown in — plus all prints are signed and numbered.
Backers who toss in $1 dollar can snag iPhone wallpapers of these images. It appears from the posting that this series is a limited run that should have Star Wars fans drolling.
