Graphic Designer Enrico Penello has imagined a new iPod concept he calls the iPod nano Touch. His fantastical design stretches out Apple's compact square nano device — then adds Wi-Fi, a front facing camera which enables Facetime calls, a home button and small side volume buttons too.
The size reminds me of Apple's original iPod Shuffle turned multi-touch, but unlike Apple's current nano — Penello's narrow shape would make an awful wrist watch.
While this design borrows many iPhone features used to create a familiar feel, the screen's aspect ratio would be extremely limiting when viewing photos, playlists, weather or any number of items that require a more reasonable width.
Any fool should realize that this dreaming-out-loud Nano design is focused more on form over real world function. That's why it's called a concept in the first place.
