"Intel Germany CEO Hannes Schwaderer confirmed today what has long been a rumor on the Internet: namely, that there is an iPhone with Intel’s new Atom chip. The device is slightly larger than the current version, Schwaderer said. That is not, however, because of the Intel chip, but because of the larger display used in the new iPhone." Source: Mac Rumors
It's been called an iPad, a mini-tablet, iTablet and an iPad Touch among many names that cult followers have visualized in their wet dreams. The latest mock up came from Isamu Sanada calling his touch pad device a Mac Air Tablet. Call it what you will but it's certain that Apple is working a recipe for a larger touch device which lines up with Steve Jobs' statement that the iPod touch is "A platform not a product".
Apple will have a tough time keeping the lid on their mini-itablet (720x480) device rumored to be announced at the WWDC on June 9th. The reality of an internet connected device capable of being a book reader and gaming device may no longer be a thing that sloppy wet dreams are made of. Get ready to bow down and worship the cults newest jonny-come-lately favorite in June. It's important to note that sources have also reported that Hannes Schwaderer allegedly believes that Tom Cruise is a Martian and little people are living under the floorboards of his house. You've been warned.
what are they going to make next! an itampon!?

It's not going to support Flash, which is used in like 70% of webpages today. Good Luck. In the keynote speech Steve Jobs, the first site he went to had a Flash plug in fail.

Posted by: Rob | February 01, 2010 at 02:16 PM
I agree with carlos rojas... They Apple, inc always rip people off by getting this "GREAT" products once they reach their monetary quota they add an extra feature like voice recording or video recording to what they call they 2nd genration. That's pure BS! Get an ipod instead free WiFi on this icrap u have to sign up with AT&T for 13.99 per month! Not worth it!!
Sorry to dissapoint you guys!

I mean yeah its great looking , but why so big? I agree with candy & jesse. Lacking low on ideas. Why not make something more creative with more features, instead of a larger iphone , or itouch ? Seriously come on now . With the ideas apple is having , I wonder what the future will be like, more like the past.

whats next? the iTampon?
Posted by: bob | January 31, 2010 at 05:43 PM
It is not a phone.
Posted by: trace | January 31, 2010 at 02:01 PM
First off, this isnt a phone. Its a tablet to be used in place of a computer. Pretty much just a larger iTouch. And, to the person named "cookies" youre lying. You cant even buy these yet? Theyre not up for sale due to conflicts.

Apple can keep their pretty but inevitably useless icrap.

Adobe Flash??
Posted by: James | January 29, 2010 at 06:24 AM
What a terrible product. It doesn't DO anything new or different. It's just one big iPhone that lacks real features. Waste of money, but an iPhone or Touch.
Posted by: bob | January 28, 2010 at 08:15 AM

I WANT IT NOW
Posted by: misba | January 28, 2010 at 01:13 AM
I disagree. The information revolution and our ability to communicate and obtain information instantaneously is a huge technological feat. This device is going to change they way we perceive the internet. Society will grow and evolve due to the knowledge we gain from the information that will be available at our fingertips.

This is great & everything; but I must say im a little dissapointed. Its 2010 & as far as technology goes, this is not the future I was promised...

Posted by: andy steve dirgantoro | January 27, 2010 at 08:28 PM
basically same features as ipod touch for 300 dollars more? wtf? buy an ipod touch or a macbook... not something that takes the worst features of both (size of laptop with features of ipod)
Posted by: poop on your pad | January 27, 2010 at 07:17 PM
I want one now im stuck with my ipod touch and i want that one
Posted by: Pammy | January 27, 2010 at 06:13 PM
how much is it?
Posted by: Mariela | January 27, 2010 at 05:46 PM
sure we all want it. how are we to use it when making a call...i sure wouldnt feel like holding a textbook to my ear, would you? you can use blue-tooth or a headset...you are gunna have to take it out to dial numbers or check whos calling before you answer right? imagine doing that when your in a mall. its a great idea, or maybe apple is just running out of ideas! i own an i-phone dont get me wrong i love it but a lap-top and a phone...that to the size of a text book?
i think i will wait until my friends/family get one before i decide for myself.
